LG plans to release sliding doors with OLED displays

Korean electronics manufacturer LG announced a partnership agreement with Swedish company Assa Abloy Entrance Systems, which manufactures door and dock systems, as well as gates for various types of buildings and premises. Together, the firms will manufacture automated doors with transparent OLED panels. This product will be focused on sales in the business segment of the market. Unique OLED technology will allow you to greet customers, interact with office buildings, and play commercials.

Transparent displays are one of the latest developments of the Korean manufacturer. Over the past few years, LG has been demonstrating advances in this area of ​​digital technology. In particular, at the beginning of 2019, the company has already shown functioning transparent signs. In recent months, LG has been actively introducing its panels into real-world conditions. For example, OLED displays can be found in the windows of Beijing subway trains, as well as in transparent TVs manufactured by Xiaomi and Panasonic.
