Last Thursday NVIDIA presented an updated anti-aliasing technology, and now it can be tested by owners of other brands of hardware. So, the technology became available on AMD graphics adapters, and owners of solutions from Intel will be able to try it in the near future.

NVIDIA Image Scaling technology is already available to users with "red" PC assemblies when installing the Lossless Scaling software update, but not all game developers have yet been able to implement its support in their own projects. Among the features of the technology is the introduction of several upscalers, including AMD FSR, in almost any game in windowed mode without a frame. The program also makes it possible to apply full-screen anti-aliasing even in cases where the function is not available in the settings.

The algorithm uses a six-stage filter, its operation takes place in one pass. By adjusting the filtering intensity, gamers will be able to change the sharpness of the picture. This option will be especially useful when launching retro games. The creator of Lossless Scaling noted that in the current update of the program, the quality of the algorithm is lower than on NVIDIA video adapters.

GeForce owners also have access to the latest 496.84 software that fixes resolution settings when NVIDIA Image Scaling is applied.
