CD Project RED has released traditional quarterly and annual reports. In them, the company assures players that the next generation update for their flagship project Cyberpunk 2077 will be released in the 1st quarter of next year.
Previously, the developers were going to release the update last September. However, later it was announced that the release was postponed.
The very first version of the game was full of bugs, so it was mercilessly criticized. To eliminate the shortcomings, the developers released a large number of patches that managed to turn the situation for the better. Now there is an increase in the popularity of the project, this was facilitated by the recent impressive discounts on the game in the gaming services Steam, PlayStation and Xbox.
In addition, CD Project RED postpones until the 2nd quarter of next year a new generation update for the second super-popular project The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. The update will be distributed free of charge for those gamers who have already purchased the game by that time.
The company also shared its financial success. Thus, the penultimate quarter of this year brought CD Project Group 38% more revenue. However, the increase in costs led to the fact that profits fell by forty-five points. The profitability of the company's business almost halved - from 22.4% to 11.3%.
