Google has prepared a number of innovations for the Android system
Google is preparing to release several important innovations for Android. The improvements will affect a group of proprietary applications of the company.

Android Auto

An important innovation will be the ability for car owners to use a smartphone as an ignition key. Now it is available in a narrow range of regions especially for the Pixel 6 and 6 Pro, as well as the Samsung Galaxy S21 and compatible BMW cars. The development of the option has been going on since May, when Google announced a partnership with the German automaker. So, the function will work on auto models of 2020-22. In the future, Google intends to expand the list of available cars.

In addition, the application will change the controls, icons and interface details.

Widgets and functional updates

YouTube Music, Google Play Books and Google Photos will introduce new features. The YouTube Music widget lets you access recently played tracks and offers playback controls. The book app will also get a widget with library shortcuts.

In Google Photos, the widget will allow you to customize the display of photos with certain people and pets from the gallery. The Memories function will also appear in the application, which will select photos and videos about the upcoming holiday events.

An update awaits Google Family Bell (reminders broadcast by smart screens and speakers). Now the function will be available on mobile devices as well.

In addition to the above, Google has decided on the exact date for the implementation of resetting permissions on old devices on Android - this will happen in the coming January. The meaning of the function is to automatically disable permissions on long-unused applications. It is currently available for Android 11, but will be activated on Android 6 and higher in the future.
