Fairphone has released an update for its Fairphone 2 smartphone with the option to switch to Android 10. The smartphone was released back in 2015, so the company’s long-term support for the device is respectful.
The beta test of the tenth Android for Fairphone 2 started in November last year, and now a stable version of the software is available for the device. The manufacturer also intends to release updates to security systems until Google stops supporting the system. Most likely, Android 10 will be the last for the second generation of Fairphone - at the start of sales, it had Android 5 on board.
Last fall, the company presented the Fairphone 4. The brand intends to release updates for it until 2027.
