Insider Ming-Chi Kuo, citing his sources, reports that Apple will update not only the chipset of its future smartphones in the Pro version. So, devices should receive a new interface port with a data transfer rate comparable to current laptops.
The reviewer wrote about this in several tweets. They say that the entire iPhone 15 series will change the proprietary Lightning port to USB Type-C. And if the basic iPhone 15 and 15 Plus transfer speed remains at the level of the USB 2.0 interface, then devices with Pro and Pro Max set-top boxes will acquire support for USB 3.2 (20 Gb/s) and Thunderbolt 3 (40 Gb/s) standards. If this happens, then the transfer speed in new smartphones will be on par with the same MacBook.
