Rovio has announced the upcoming withdrawal of the popular puzzle game from marketplaces.

The first part of Angry Birds will soon disappear from Google Play

From the text of the studio's appeal, it became clear that a remake of the original Rovio Classics: Angry Birds, developed on the Unity engine, will be removed from Google Play. This event will take place on February 23rd. As for the App Store, the puzzle will be available there under the name Red's First Flight, and a little later the authors will think about its future. Those who wish should hurry up with the download, because the games downloaded before February 23 will work fine.

The company did not want to name the reasons for the removal, but, judging by the tweet of Rovio community manager Sean Bakel, the first part interfered with the normal sale of other games in the series, namely Angry Birds 2, Angry Birds Friends and Angry Birds Journey, so they wanted to remove it. Fans of the franchise are not too happy about this news.

You can download the original version of Angry Birds here.
