Screenshots of the new Windows 11 "beta" have surfaced, showing a fresh feature of the system - improving the desktop wallpaper through an algorithm based on artificial intelligence.
The option is called "Depth Effect", it is already available in the insider assembly of the operating system. Turning it on will activate the depth-of-field filter to the currently available image in the background. A similar effect is obtained when taking portrait photos with background blur.
It is not clear whether this option will impose additional requirements on the hardware of the computer. The date of the appearance of the option in future stable builds of the OS is also unknown.
