The flywheel of film adaptations of games is running at full speed. The production of a new picture based on the famous fighting game will be carried out by the Legendary studio, which has already announced the start of work on the action movie.

The project is currently at the pre-production stage. It is curious that Capcom will also take part in the creation of the tape. In addition, Legendary has the right to release a television series, which is likely to take advantage.



Street Fighter has been repeatedly transferred to the screens. Based on the fighting game, among other things, anime and animated series were released. The most famous film adaptation of the game is the feature film "Street Fighter" in 1994, in which the main role was played by the Belgian actor, one of the iconic action heroes of the 80-90s, Jean-Claude Van Damme. The tape collected a good box office, taking 99.4 million dollars around the world with a budget of 35, but neither the critics nor most of the audience liked the final result.
