The possibilities of AI have recently been tested by many, from artists to musicians. Now it's the turn of game developers.
The team of game designers Luden.io, who previously worked at the Nival studio, presented the game Generated Adventure. The main feature of the project is that almost everything in it is done using neural networks, including visuals, music, story and dialogue components. We worked on the Stable Diffusion, Midjourney and ChatGPT neural network game. The only thing AI couldn't help with was the engine that became Defold and the animations - they were rendered in Photoshop.
The development took place as part of a game jam (gathering of developers to create games for a limited period of time) in 72 hours. See the Luden.io blog for details on the process. It is noted that the most difficult thing was to achieve unity of the visual style of the game from AI.
