Detective Pikachu Returns will be the sequel to the 2018 project that was released on Nintendo 3DS.
A sequel to Detective Pikachu, subtitled Returns, has been announced at a Nintendo Direct event. The project will again focus on the detective component. The protagonists of the title will once again be Tim Goodman and Pikachu, a Pokémon capable of speaking in a human voice. Together they will investigate various cases in Rhyme City.
The game will be available exclusively on the Nintendo Switch. The release will take place on October 6th.
