Director Ángel Manuel Soto has been inspired by two popular video games.
According to the director, when creating and staging the action scenes, the film crew drew inspiration from the popular Indonesian action movie "The Raid" and the series "London Gangs", the main author of which is the same person - Gareth Evans. Also, some elements were borrowed from the animated series Young Justice, and the team spied some combo attacks from the fighting game based on the DC comics Injustice 2.
In addition, the director added several easter eggs that are related to the ability of the Blue Beetle to create various weapons. So, in one scene, a rifle resembling a ZF-1 from the movie "The Fifth Element" appears in the hands of a superhero, and in another scene, the character uses a sword that resembles Cloud's weapon from the video game Final Fantasy VII.
