Information about the multiplayer project was found in the same leak of Insomniac materials organized by hackers.
Apparently the game was called Marvel's Spider-Man: The Great Web. The gameplay in it would be similar to GTA Online, as evidenced by data from Insomniac’s special presentation. The project was not mentioned in later documentation, so we can say that the idea of the game has not yet found a continuation.
The leaked materials contain a large amount of concept art of The Great Web. Gamers would have the opportunity to customize the appearance and costume of their own Spider-Man. They could also meet a large number of spider superheroes from comic books and other media. As for gameplay mechanics, users would be able to carry out raids with other gamers, confront bosses and compete with each other in various challenges. The concepts show a variety of opponents: Mysterio, Doctor Octopus, Venom, Carnage. The game would also have a Season Pass.
