Over 4 billion videos have been uploaded to YouTube this year, the most for any year. The lowest number of videos was uploaded in 2006.
It is noteworthy that 96% of videos do not even have 10 thousand views. 13% received less than a thousand views, and 5% of videos had no views at all. The average view count for each video is only 39.
The most popular language on video hosting is English – 32% of available videos are filmed in it. Hindi took silver with 10.5%. 3rd place was taken by Spanish (8%), 4th by Arabic (6%), and Russian (5.6%) rounded out the top five.
