Apple has filed a patent for a screen for the charging case of AirPods headphones

Thanks to the display, the functionality of the accessory will significantly increase.



Judging by the illustrations from the patent, Apple intends to add a touch screen to the charging case. The display will be designed to switch tracks, adjust the volume, view weather information, messages and call the Siri voice assistant.



Another image indicates that there are pressure-sensitive areas on the case. With their help, the user will be able to switch between audio modes.

It is still unknown when such headphones will be sent into production - they now exist only on paper.
