The action of Gears of War: E-Day starts on the very first day of the attack on Earth by creatures called locusts. The creators of the title intend to focus on the technical component of the game: the details of the characters will be much more detailed compared to Gears 5, and shadows and reflections will be created using ray tracing.
The main character of the story will once again be the legendary fighter Marcus Fenix, but he will be 14 years younger than the version of himself from the very first part. The authors want to focus on the protagonist's personal story and the horrors he will face.
