A well-known insider spoke about the performance of the upcoming flagship.

Reputable tipster Digital Chat Station shared data on the performance of the Samsung Galaxy S25. According to him, the smartphone will receive a hardware platform in the form of a Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 chipset with support for AI upscaling (image scaling) like NVIDIA DLSS. This technology will allow the image to be rendered at a low resolution, and then stretched to a higher resolution without undue load on the GPU.

AI upscaling will make it possible to run resource-intensive games, for example, Genshin Impact, in 1080p format at 120 frames per second: currently the Samsung Galaxy S24 with Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 produces only 60 fps. Also, theoretically, the technology will help launch some AAA titles on Android, originally intended for PCs and consoles.

Digital Chat Station also reports that AI upscaling technology may appear on devices with Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 and 8 Gen 3 processors after firmware updates.
