Microsoft added features for the first time in the program's 40 years of existence.

The options were tested in March. According to journalist Tom Warren from The Verge, spell checking in Notepad is done in a similar way to Microsoft Word, but with one difference - you need to click on a word to check. If necessary, the function is disabled. The application also includes automatic word replacement, which can also be turned off if desired.
