Study: GTA 6 release will cause mass gamers to take time off work worldwide
The release of GTA 6 promises to be a global event that can significantly affect work activity. A study conducted by the fan portal GTA BOOM showed that millions of players around the globe are eagerly awaiting the new game, and its premiere is likely to lead to mass vacations and sick leaves.
Analysis of Google search queries revealed that in the United States, residents of Florida are most interested in the title - here, on average, 758 out of every 100 thousand people are looking for information about GTA 6. This is 31% more than the national average. Florida is followed by Nevada (729 queries per 100 thousand) and New York.
Researchers note that with the release of the game, a "GTA virus" is expected - a mass phenomenon when workers take time off to immediately immerse themselves in the game. Something similar was already observed with the release of Red Dead Redemption 2, but this time the scale may be much larger - both in the United States and in other regions.
