NVIDIA continues to delight fans of classics and high technologies: at CES 2025, the company demonstrated a visual comparison of the original Half-Life 2 from 2005 and its upcoming remaster.
The published screenshots show the updated Ravenholm, which has been noticeably transformed thanks to modern graphics technologies. The remaster includes improved textures, realistic lighting with full ray tracing and DLSS 3.5 support, which ensures smooth gameplay even at high settings.
The project is called Half-Life 2 RTX and will be free for all owners of the original game. NVIDIA has not yet revealed the exact release date.
