Take-Two Blocks YouTube Channel of GTA Vice City Nextgen Edition Creators
A couple of days before the release of the mod, Take-Two Interactive blocked the YouTube channel of the Revolution Team, the team that created the project. The authors have not yet given official comments on the situation.
The channel is no longer available at the old link, and when trying to watch videos, a message about copyright infringement appears. The reason for the blocking is obvious, but the future of the project remains in question.
Revolution Team did not specify whether work on the mod will continue or the project will suffer the fate of the Liberty City Preservation Project. The mod, which recreated Liberty City, was banned from distribution two weeks after its release at the request of Rockstar Games.
Despite the conflict, the release of the mod is still planned for January 25. This large-scale project completely transfers content from Vice City 2002 to the RAGE engine from GTA IV, promising modern graphics and new experiences.
