Sonic the Hedgehog 3 Becomes Second Highest Grossing Video Game Adaptation

The film achieved an impressive result, becoming the second most successful video game adaptation in terms of box office in history. Its total box office receipts exceeded $462 million, second only to Super Mario Bros. Movie with $1.362 billion. The top 5 also included Pokemon: Detective Pikachu ($450 million), Warcraft ($439 million) and Rampage ($428 million).
