YouTube has expanded its ban on spreading false information about Covid-19 vaccinations. Hosting will now remove vaccine misinformation videos.
YouTube's new policy is to block content that claims influenza vaccine causes infertility, and measles, mumps and rubella drugs increase the risk of autism and infertility. At the moment, about 130 thousand videos containing such information have been removed.
A YouTube spokesman said the hosting is removing channels associated with ardent opponents of covid drugs, including Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. and Joseph Mercola. In turn, Kennedy commented on this, noting that censorship and secrecy have never promoted democracy and the development of health care.
These measures are a response to public discontent and media criticism. Previously, IT giants, including the same YouTube, Facebook and Twitter, have already been subjected to obstruction for insufficient response to the spread of false information.

For example, on September 28, YouTube deleted two German channels belonging to the news broadcaster Russia Today, without the possibility of restoration due to violation of the rules regarding misinformation. In response, the Russian authorities threatened the hosting with blocking on the territory of the country.
