HTC will release a new device using virtual reality technology. The gadget from the Vive line, apparently, will receive the name Flow and will cost potential buyers relatively inexpensively.
Published images of the headset suggest that Vive Flow is intended for viewing content, meditating, and also accessing some games. The device will not have a controller, as evidenced by the image of a small case for the gadget. Also, the device does not require a connection to a PC to enter the virtual space.
The VR headset will support Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and a Li-ion battery. Unlike counterparts from other manufacturers, the device will get a less powerful processor. At the same time, the headset will be able to track six degrees of freedom, which will make it more interesting than the same Facebook Oculus Go.
Together with the Vive Flow headset, HTC is working to create the Viveport Verse virtual world. In it, the user will be able to control his three-dimensional avatar, go to events in online spaces and generate his own media content. The developers promise the compatibility of this virtual world not only with VR glasses, but also with PCs and mobile platforms.
