GTA remasters found the source code of the game that allows you to make mods
The not-so-good start to the distribution of GTA remasters did bring some good news. Twitter user NationalPepper was able to find the source code for the games, which will now allow for modifications.
It is unclear at this point whether the creators left the code on purpose or by mistake. In any case, fans now have the opportunity to work on improving the games, for which they will be helped by source scripts, documentation with instructions and developer tools.
In addition, the game code contains permission from the creators of Grove Street Games to create mods. I wonder how Take-Two will react to this, as the studio has been at war with the proliferation of fan mods for months.
