The redesign of the Start menu in Windows 11 has generated a lot of controversy. Now users will be able to slightly change its appearance thanks to the fact that Microsoft has made several innovations in the test build of Insider Preview 22509.
To make changes, the user needs to right-click on the "Start" button, go to the settings and select one of the proposed layouts. In addition to the standard appearance, there are two more options: "More pins" and "More recommendations". The first option will provide the ability to quickly access more applications without the need to fully disclose the list of installed programs, and in the second, the user will receive a list of recently opened files in the form of recommendations.
It is likely that these layouts will be the only ones available for customization. It is not yet known when the innovation will be included in the public assembly of the new system.
