Microsoft is hard at work on improving the functionality of Windows 11. One of the improvements listed in the updated developer guide will be compatibility with third-party software widgets. This feature will provide more flexibility in customizing the interface.
It is assumed that in the Windows 11 22H2 update, special attention will be paid to improving the stability of the OS, eliminating bugs in the functioning of the user interface and optimizing it. Software creators will also be able to integrate web widgets into the system. Widgets will be distributed through the official Microsoft Store and other marketplaces.
The guide also mentions so-called "adaptive cards" - interface elements that are platform-independent and designed to be combined with widgets. Items will have reduced RAM and CPU consumption.
Windows 11 22H2 is expected to be released this summer.
