YouTube posted a comparison video with Horizon Forbidden West, launched with the Day 1 update, on PS4, PS4 Pro and PS5 consoles. Judging by the frames, the game looks good on all three consoles.
On PS4, the action-adventure was running at 30 fps, but that didn't stop the game from displaying normal graphics and performance.
On PS5, the quality is still significantly higher due to improved detail and an increased number of objects compared to previous generation consoles. Enabling Resolution Mode gives 4K resolution and 30 fps with the best detail. In FPS Mode, the graphics are reduced to 1800p, but the frame rate goes up to 60 fps. It is worth noting that the new Horizon for PS5 does not support ray tracing.
The excellent picture and high fps on the PS5 is not limited to the new generation console, and faster loading of the game is also noticeable.
