Windows 10 overtakes Windows 11 in terms of audience growth
Analysts of the AdDuplex service analyzed the popularity of current versions of operating systems from Microsoft in March. It turned out that the pace of installation of Windows 11 has decreased. In turn, Windows 10 has gone ahead in this indicator.

Windows 10 overtakes Windows 11 in terms of audience growth

Statistics for March 29, 2022 show that in the first month of spring, Windows 11's market share barely grew at 19.4% (February figures were 19.4%). "Ten" in version 21H2, on the contrary, became more popular with users - it was installed on 28.5% of computers.

The second line in the top of popularity went to Windows 10 (21H1) with a figure of 26.5%. Older builds of the operating system are left far behind. According to experts, the unexpected increase in the popularity of the new version of Windows 10 is associated with the upcoming stop of support for build 20H2. It is assumed that the developers began to forcibly distribute the update for the owners of the old version.

Analysts also suggest that the decline in the growth rate of the Windows 11 audience may be due to its system requirements. A large number of PCs that have Windows 10 installed will not pull the new OS due to the lack of a TPM module or an outdated CPU. Earlier, Microsoft announced the acceleration of the deployment of Windows 11 and a large number of positive reviews about the new “OS”.
