Google Play to remove a large number of applications soon
There are tons of games and apps on Google Play, and many of them are outdated or have not been updated for a long time. Most of them will soon be removed at the initiative of the company itself.

Google Play to remove a large number of applications soon

A large-scale "cleansing" will begin to operate from November 1. Applications with an API term of two years or more will be hit, and Google will hide such programs from the search results of the market. As the company notes, software that has not received updates for a long time or is intended for outdated versions of Android may have security gaps.

To avoid removal, developers need to release updates in a timely manner, focusing on the minimum API level, which will increase with each subsequent release of the OS. If this is not done, then users simply will not be able to download the application or game even by entering the exact name in the search.

Android 13 will be presented in the fall, so only programs compatible with Android 10 and higher will meet the updated requirements. It is worth noting that the new policy will only affect those owners of Android devices who have never downloaded outdated software before. Technically, such applications and games will remain in the store and will be available for re-download on those devices where they have already been used.
