Game reviewer Jeff Grubb shared information about the release of the second part of Death Stranding. According to him, the game can be released on PC and consoles at the same time.
The insider reports that this strategy is designed to increase the number of sold copies of the game and increase the profit from the sale of the title. According to rumors, Sony was not too happy with the sales figures of the original on the PlayStation platform. Nevertheless, with the release of the game on Steam, the number of sold copies exceeded 5 million, which allowed Hideo Kojima to give the green light to the development of the second part.
Most likely, it will not be Sony itself that will release the title on the PC, but a third-party publisher. Perhaps this responsibility will be delegated to 505 Games, which was already working on a port of the original for personal computers. But whether the game will be released on the Xbox is a big question. Probably, Death Stranding 2 will be available only for PC and PlayStation.
