Pixel 6a camera vs iPhone 13 Pro Max camera: which one is better?
Blogger Izami Gadget compared the cameras of the two devices. On the side of the Apple device, there is a powerful processor and more modules, and on the side of the Google smartphone, there are proprietary algorithms. Curiously, the iPhone is more than twice as expensive as the Pixel at $1,099 versus $449.

The Pixel 6a has a dual camera setup with a 12.2 MP main sensor (f/1.7 aperture and optical image stabilization (OSI)) and a 12MP wide-angle lens (f/2.2). In turn, the iPhone 13 Pro Max has much more impressive camera characteristics: a 12 MP (f/1.5) main lens with matrix-shift stabilization, a 12 MP ultra-wide (f/1.8) and a 12 MP telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom and optical stabilization. In addition, the device from Apple has a LiDAR sensor, which contributes to better focusing in low light and improved depth of field detection. The Pixel 6a is also inferior to the opponent in terms of the front camera: it has a resolution of 8 MP, while the iPhone has 12 MP. In addition, the camera device of the "apple" brand is used in the Face ID system, which improves the definition of depth of field.

During the tests, the blogger noted that the Pixel 6a got very hot, and also began to give an error and did not allow to shoot video until the device cools down. The photographs were taken with a visible delay. The iPhone had no such shortcomings.

The front camera of the iPhone 13 Pro Max is capable of recording 4K video at 60 fps, while the Pixel 6a can shoot at 1080p at 30 fps. This difference makes the iPhone image smoother, but the Pixel shows a wider dynamic range and fewer blowouts. At night, both front cameras of both devices show themselves rather weakly. Google's ultra-wide device doesn't support 4K at 60 fps, but videos shot at night are more detailed.

When it comes to taking photos, both devices do pretty much the same thing. The iPhone should highlight the presence of a telephoto lens, which gives an advantage when photographing an object at a great distance. The main and ultra-wide-angle sensors of the devices are similar in terms of shooting quality.
