Windows 11 gains momentum, and Intel seizes the initiative from AMD: Steam has published the results of user surveys

According to a survey related to the Windows operating system, the eleventh version showed an increase in users by 1.64%, with a total of 21.23% for the period May-June. In turn, the number of users with Windows 10 64 bit decreased by 2.63%, while the number of devices with Windows 7 64 bit installed increased by 0.6%.

In the June clash of processors, Intel again managed to outperform AMD, as the total number of chips of the manufacturer increased by 1.28%. Probably, this indicator is associated with the release of new processors of the twelfth generation of Alder Lake. It is curious that a month earlier, it was AMD that excelled in this rating, but the manufacturer will get a chance to regain lost positions after the release of Raptor Lake processors on the Zen 4 architecture.

The RTX 3060 processors for desktops and laptops took the lead in the graphics card competition. In June, they were the most popular, and the desktop version climbed up two lines in the top and took 8th place. The past month was also successful for the RTX 3050 model, which managed to show an increase of 0.18% in relation to the total number of GPUs.

The Steam report also included the results of other polls. Thus, the most common screen resolution remains 1920×1080, and Oculus Quest 2 VR glasses are one percent short of taking half of the market for virtual reality devices registered on the platform. The first place among the languages on the site is still occupied by English, which is spoken by 36.73% of the users of the online service, and the second line is staked out by simplified Chinese with a result of 24.75%.
