3D V-cache technology should appear in the upcoming Ryzen 7000 chips based on the Zen 4 architecture. However, AMD plans to release several current processors with this feature.
At the moment, 3D V-cache is only available on the Ryzen 7 5800X3D, released last April. AMD is not going to stop there, and according to rumors, the manufacturer will soon present a more affordable solution in the form of a 5600X3D chip (the cost of a standard 5600X is $199), and also announce a productive 5900X3D or even 5950X3D, which will use a new cache memory technology.
3D V-cache involves adding an auxiliary multilayer memory chip to chiplet chips with cores connected in a proprietary "through" way. Implementing technology for already finished products is a very costly enterprise, so the vendor will be limited to working on several processors for now. When to expect new items and what will be their cost is still unknown.
