The mailing list contains a .zip file. When it is unpacked, the user turns on malware without knowing it. As a result, an infected copy of the standard file of the Calculator application and a number of other files enter the system.
Running the calculator activates malicious code that injects itself into the OS. The antivirus program is idle because it sees the calc.exe file as a safe program. After the virus allows hackers to provide full access to the system or build a new phishing mailing list.
It should be noted that such a vulnerability is relevant only for Windows 7. Younger versions of the system are not subject to such a hack.
