Recently, a short video appeared on the Internet with a piece of gameplay allegedly from the upcoming Need for Speed. It can be assumed that the game will definitely not appeal to most fans of the series.



The user who uploaded the video to the network said that he received information from a person close to EA. Along with the leak of the video, he also spoke about some of the details of the project.

So, the creators of the new part intend to attract a young audience, so they took the controversial step of distancing the game from other parts of the franchise. This is evidenced by the cartoonish graphics, more typical of Fortnite than the representative of the legendary racing series. In the presented video, for example, the wings growing from the car are visible. The development team also raises concerns: together with former employees of Ghost Game and Criterion, newcomers who have a “fresh look at the development of the series” are working on the title.

In addition, the insider claims that the gameplay in the new NFS will be greatly simplified. For example, the car improvement system will become similar to the one from Forza, and a number of racing competitions (drag races and drift) will be completely removed. But the car can be changed to another, simply by going to the main menu. Also, according to insider information, the developers are committed to inclusiveness and diversity, so the game is worth waiting for the appearance of the corresponding characters and storylines.

The next part of NFS should be released before the end of the year. According to unconfirmed reports, the presentation of the game should take place very soon.
