HUAWEI CEO David Wang spoke about the benefits of new mobile networks. The presentation took place at the Global MBB Forum 2022 event.
According to the functionary, 5.5G networks will become a transitional stage on the way to 6th generation networks. Compared to 5G, these networks will be ten times faster. The transmission speed can reach 10 Gbps, in addition, 5.5G networks will provide 100 billion connections and receive AI.
Wang points out that 5.5G clearly demonstrates three major indicators of progress. First, the network initiated a standardization procedure and contributed to the continued enrichment of the network's technoconnotations. Secondly, with 5.5G, a fundamental technological breakthrough occurred, and ultra-wide bandwidth showed the possibility of 10G. And thirdly, 5.5G networks are compatible with all three IoT technologies (NB-IoT, RedCap, Passive IoT).
It is not known for certain when and how 5.5G networks will be launched. The introduction of 6G is generally worth waiting for only by the beginning of the 2030s.
