A blogger from the Celestial Empire with the nickname Big Hardware Player has comprehensively checked out a fresh video adapter from NVIDIA. It has been tested in benchmarks and in popular games.
The Chinese blogger compared the devices when working in 4K in the following titles: Forza Horizon 5, Cyberpunk 2077, Borderland 3, Total War Troy, Shadow of the Tomb Raider. As a result, it turned out that the RTX 4080 outperforms the RTX 3090 Ti PGF by 19%, but falls short of 23% to the recently released flagship RTX 4090 accelerator. All devices functioned together with the Intel Core i9-13900K chip, however, DDR5-6200 RAM came with the RTX 4080 , and with the other two video cards - DDR5-6800.
The screenshots demonstrate the performance of graphics accelerators in Cyberpunk 2077, Forza Horizon 5 and Shadow of the Tomb Raider. In the first title, the RTX 3090 Ti hit 79 fps, the RTX 4080 hit 94, and the RTX 4090 hit 109. Forza Horizon 5 hit 68, 76, and 88 fps. In the adventures of Lara Croft - 184, 200 and 237 fps.
In the 3DMark benchmark, the RTX 4080 was 25% faster than the RTX 3090 Ti, but 21% slower than the RTX 4090. In general, the indicators correspond to the true state of affairs.
