Rumor: HUAWEI intends to revive the production of its own processors

A message about the possibility of reviving the release of HUAWEI processors appeared on the Chinese social network Weibo. In his post, the user said that the company will produce chips based on 12 and 14 nm manufacturing processes. Since HUAWEI is not yet able to master a more advanced process technology, potential innovations will not be used in smartphones where 4-nanometer solutions are relevant, but in wearable devices - fitness trackers or smart watches.

HUAWEI previously released Kirin chips in cooperation with the Taiwanese company TSMC. However, due to sanctions imposed on China by the United States, HUAWEI has lost access to the required technological solutions and contractors. So far, it is unclear whether the vendor will switch to a more technological process. Some experts believe that until 2024 it will focus on the production of processors based on the 12 and 14 nm process technology.
