The release of the board game was announced by GSC Game World.
The desktop adaptation will be called S.T.A.L.K.E.R. The Board Game. The game will be developed by Awaken Realms, the studio best known for its desktop adaptation of the military survival simulation This War of Mine. GSC Game World will also be directly involved in the creation.
In terms of gameplay, the board game will be a strategy game with elements of survival. The passage will be able to participate from one to four people. One game will go on for about two hours, players will be offered 2-4 scenarios of the possible course of gameplay. The gameplay will not do without exploring the territories of the Chernobyl Exclusion Zone, participating in skirmishes with opponents and mutants, searching for valuable artifacts and other aspects inherent in the original game series.
The development and release of the game will be carried out with funds raised through crowdfunding. The project has already got a page on the GameFound platform, the collection of donations will start in the 2nd quarter of this year.
