Shortly before the presentation, the company rolled out several teasers of the C55 model, revealing the technical characteristics of the device.
The main feature of the smartphone is the presence of a cutout, similar in functionality to Dynamic Island in the new iPhones. The technology, called Mini Capsule, will be implemented in software. In the normal state, only the cutout of the front camera will be on the screen. The expansion of the "island" will occur when alerts are received and during charging. In addition, through Mini Capsule it will be possible to track the number of steps taken and the Internet traffic limit.
As for the characteristics, the C55 will get a 6.72″ 90 Hz screen with Full HD+ resolution and a maximum brightness of 680 nits. The smartphone’s hardware platform will be the MediaTek Helio G88 chipset, the RAM will be 6/8 GB, and the internal storage will 128/256 GB depending on the version of the smartphone.Out of the box, the device will have Android 13 with realme UI 4.0.
A 5000 mAh battery will be responsible for the autonomy of the device. It supports 33W fast charging. Among other interesting features of realme C55, it is worth noting the possibility of virtual expansion of RAM, the presence of a slot for microSD cards, an NFC chip and Dirac audio technology.
The cost and start date of sales of the smartphone will be announced at a presentation event on March 7.
