Counter-Strike 2 was announced
Valve quite simply and casually, without a lengthy advertising campaign, announced a sequel to their most popular online first-person shooter.

Users have been discussing the game for more than one week. And so, on March 22, Valve presented the project without much fuss by opening the official website. The studio also released several videos that demonstrate the features of the gameplay.

In short, Counter-Strike 2 is a free update that will transfer CS: GO from the old Source engine to the new Source 2. Players are expected to improve the visuals, new game mechanics related to this aspect (for example, smoke control through shooting and explosions), modernized netcode, tools for designing your own unique arenas, redesigned maps.

Users who have a large collection of skins, boxes and other content in CS:GO should not worry: all saved goodies will be transferred to the new version of the game. Moreover, the loot will become even more beautiful, as you can see on the CS2 website.

At the moment, the game is being tested by professional cybersportsmen. A full release is scheduled for next summer. Valve will update information on CS2 in the coming months.
