The new game will allow users to hunt monsters in augmented reality.
The mechanics of the title will be similar to Pokémon GO. The project is positioned as entertainment for gamers going to work or anywhere else. Of course, the gameplay will not involve long and intense battles with opponents, as it was in the main Monster Hunter series. Instead, battles will no longer last 75 seconds, which is great for a mobile format.
The development of the project has been going on for 4 years. The studio's subdivision in Tokyo, which gained fame primarily for Pikmin Bloom, is working on the creation. Monster Hunter Now will be released in September, the game will be available on iOS and Android platforms. Closed beta testing will begin very soon - April 25th.
