GTA Online may cease to exist on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One
This is reported by an insider Tez2. He is known for giving very reliable information about Rockstar projects on his social networks.
So, according to him, Rockstar will stop supporting GTA Online on previous generation consoles. This is evidenced by the fact that a lot of the content that is available on PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X/S is not available on PS4 and Xbox One. Also, some future “service updates” may speak of stopping support, which may well initialize the shutdown of the game from older consoles. The reason is the ever-increasing spread of new consoles.
Previously, Rockstar had already done a similar trick with the PS3 and Xbox 360. But then only the multiplayer mode was disabled, and the story remained available to the players.
