"John Wick 4" grossed over $400 million at the box office. And this is not the limit

Record-breaking results for the franchise have been updated again. The tape has not yet finished rolling, so we should expect an update in box office figures. The budget of the film is, according to various sources, $90-100 million.



The action movie with Keanu Reeves also previously demonstrated the most powerful start among all quadrology. Further, the result of the third part was surpassed, which scored $326 million worldwide. It is noteworthy that John Wick 4 collected a significant part of $226 million in international markets, while previous tapes collected more in home rentals in the United States.



In Russia, the fourth part also performed excellently at the box office, grossing $9.6 million (about 823 million rubles), making it the second highest-grossing film of the year after Cheburashka. It is clear that the killer cannot keep up with 6 billion rubles. But you need to understand that the films have radically opposite age audiences and the corresponding age ratings.



It is not yet clear if a continuation of the main series will be released. Now the creators are working on two spin-offs of the franchise: the mini-series The Continental about the young Winston and the full-length offshoot Ballerina with Ana de Armas in the title role. The first project should come out this September, and the film will be released in June next year. Keanu Reeves himself will take part in the latter.
