Capcom is confident in the powerful exhaust of its upcoming fighting game. The release of the game will take place in a month.
The head of the publishing house Haruhiro Tsujimoto said that Capcom intends to sell at least 10 million copies of the sixth part of the famous fighting game series. He noted that Street Fighter is an important franchise for the company, so a lot of money and effort was spent on the development and promotion of the new chapter. And this is not surprising, since the last part of Street Fighter 5 sold 7 million copies.
Tsujimoto also mentioned an important detail - the increase in sales of digital games. Now digital copies account for 80% of all sales, while physical media account for only 20%. Therefore, Capcom must work out a strategy for the development of their games for several years ahead.
Street Fighter 6 will be released on June 2 on PC and current latest generation consoles.
