The game tells about the youth of the main character of the original - Tommy Vercetti.

In the original, Tommy Vercetti was already considered a prominent gangster who had served time in prison for the murder of a dozen people in the Harwood metropolis of Liberty City. This earned him the nickname "The Harwood Butcher". At the time, he was part of the Forelli crime family.

A prequel to the story of this hero is being developed by a fan from Chile, Flavio, aka sick.vicious66. The mod will be called GTA: Liberty Wiseguys. The plot will tell about the young years of Tommy Vercetti.

The action of the modification will take place in the period 1968-71. The inspiration for the creator is primarily Martin Scorsese's legendary film Goodfellas, which is quoted more than once in Vice City itself. The game will include both the heroes already known to the players, the same Sonny Forelli, and previously not shown, for example, the fathers of Tommy and Toni Cipriani.

The mod is based on GTA: San Andreas: Liberty City Stories. In the prequel, you will be able to purchase items of clothing and buildings.

Flavio says that his creation will see the light very soon, but he needs the help of colorists and scripters, he is in search of them. There are also problems with voice acting: Ray Liotta, who voiced the protagonist in Vice City, passed away almost a year ago. How the developer will deal with this problem is unclear. The issue with Take-Two isn't going anywhere either, as they own the copyright to the franchise and like to slow down fan projects like this.

It is curious that Vice City has a prehistory in Vice City Stories, but it told about another hero - ex-soldier Victor Vance.
