Elon Musk intends to significantly improve the functionality of Twitter

The microblog is supposed to be turned into a multifunctional application by adding the ability to make audio and video calls, as well as send encrypted messages.



Musk said that in the new version of the program, users can reply with a personal message to any tweet in the chain, and not just the last one. In addition, emoji reactions were added to the correspondence. Work is also underway to improve the quality of web support and processing of responses to multimedia messages.



The entrepreneur also announced the addition of calling capabilities in the near future. Thus, Twitter will be able to call any user on the planet without using their phone number. Whether encryption will be applied to these calls is not specified.
