In anticipation of the release of the title, the authors are sharing with might and main various details of their offspring. This time they released a video with the gameplay, and also talked about the development process of the project.
The creators set themselves the goal of embodying on the screens the oppressive atmosphere inherent in the Alien universe. This was done through flashes of light from flashing lamps, gloomy corridors, various ambient sounds, and the constant threat of attack from xenomorphs. The developers also implemented the mechanics of the so-called "fog of war", when the player sees only the territory that is within the line of sight of the heroes. This should help the gamer to be more tense and competently plan the movement of the squad around the location.
An important aspect was the development of xenomorphs. Monsters, as planned by the authors, should be as bloodthirsty and ruthless as possible, but at the same time, gamers should not get used to the accumulation of a large number of opponents. The xenomorphs also received high-quality AI, allowing them to perform various maneuvers, for example, entering from the rear or retreating.
In order for a detachment of fighters to survive, the player will need to competently manage the available resources and plan every step. One way or another, team members will die, and this will give impetus to the player adapting to changing conditions and getting new emotions from each new passage.
