The fifth part of GTA came out on PS3 and Xbox 360 almost 10 years ago - in a month the game will celebrate its anniversary date. Many players might have thought that the developers didn't lift a finger all the time and only cashed in on the multiplayer GTA Online. But it's not quite like that.
In the LinkdIn profile, ex-Rockstar video editor John Young found references to GTA 6. Igrodel worked for the company for three years in 2015-18 and had a hand in the sixth part. So we can say that work on the project has been going on for at least eight years. Journalist Jason Schreier previously revealed that production has been underway since 2014.
GTA 6 hasn't been announced yet. Rockstar confirmed that the start of development took place in February 2022. In September, there was a large-scale leak with a bunch of materials on the game. The title's release date is unknown.
